My practice is stimulated by food and flavour, whereby I use the process of painting to explore the connections between the two creative fields of Food and Art.

I store personal recollections and experiences that I have encountered with food, and recreate these memories in the studio through abstract interpretative painting. My paintings are always titled after, or related to, food and are comprised of energised brushstrokes; infused with a bold use of colour and form. Through painting, I interpret flavour as a colour, envision texture as a mark and translate forms onto canvas.

I encourage the viewer to consider food for what it truly is – a work of art, for all the senses!
